BA Music Course Plan

This is a sample course plan based on the 2022-2023 University Catalog; your actual schedule may deviate from this example. Your faculty advisor will work with you to select appropriate courses.

As an Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ student, it is your responsibility to track your progress each semester towards completing graduation requirements using the degree audit tool in the Banner Self-Service section.

  • 3 General Education Courses OR 2 GenEds + MUS 201 Survey of Western Art Music I*

*Note: although BA students are welcome and encouraged to take both halves of the Survey of Western Art Music, they are required to take only one: MUS 201 (Middle Ages through the Baroque) OR MUS 202 (Classical to the present).  If taking 201, students must do so in the Fall semester of their sophomore year; if taking 202, students must do so in the Spring semester of their sophomore year.
